What you'll need

Triangles by sidesScalene — no equal sides. Isosceles — 2 equal sides. Equilateral — 3 equal sides.
Triangles by anglesAcute — all angles under 90°. Right — one angle is 90°. Obtuse — one angle over 90°.
Quadrilateral familySquare ⊂ Rectangle ⊂ Parallelogram, and Square ⊂ Rhombus ⊂ Parallelogram. A trapezoid has just one pair of parallel sides.
Coordinate planeA point (x, y) means: move x units right, then y units up from (0, 0).
Area & perimeterRectangle: l × w, perimeter 2(l+w). Triangle: (b × h) ÷ 2. Parallelogram: b × h. Trapezoid: ((a+b) ÷ 2) × h.
